Busy Busy Bumblebee

I know, I know. I haven't been on here in several days. I've been rather busy this past week. Between school, work, and Mom/Maegan I'm hardly ever home. Not that I'm complaining. I like being busy.

School has been going pretty well. My professors are pretty cool. My English professor is going to bring us tacos at some point lol. She's pretty funny, and random. My sociology professor is from some where in the south, which I gathered from her THICK southern accent. Not as thick as the majority of the people in my family but not many people are that southern.

I went shopping today! Mom and I went to Delia's and I bought CUTE stuff! I got three adorable skirts and some shirts too. I got a t-shirt that says "Bazinga" on it bahahaha. Then we met Maegan for lunch and McAlisters. YUM!! Maegan has decided she's going to dress more sophisticated so we went over to the GAP(after making a trip back to her car because she for got her gift cards). Mom and I dropped Maegan off at her car and headed over to the cross stitch store. I have decided to take up cross stitching, we'll see how long it lasts. I was thinking and realized that I don't really have any talents, except for shopping(my mother pointed that one out) and horse back riding. Both of which I can't afford to do, so cross stitching it is. Although I must say, cross stitching isn't all that cheap either). Since I spent the day shopping I had to go out to Ryan's house to shop him all the cute stuff that I got and we ate the left over stir fry I made Monday night.

Speaking of stir fry.... I made stir fry Monday night. I know everyone goes oh YUM! But seriously.. that was the most emotionally draining thing I've done in a LONG time. Who knew cooking could take so much mental energy? Well, for normal people it doesn't but you're stuck with me and we all know I'm not normal. Anywho... I was all excited to make my stir fry. I had gone to store and bought my steak and veggies and came home to look for my recipe.. and couldn't find it! We looked EVERYWHERE and didn't find it! I was mad and sad and annoyed and then I had a little mental break down... over a recipe... and being fat. Which I know I'm not fat but whatever, I'm female and when we females don't know why we're upset we just say it's because we're fat(I don't actually think that's true but it makes me feel better so I typed it anyways... I'm crazy, sue me). Anywho, I never did find the recipe but my friends mom, who gave me the recipe to begin with, texted me a picture of it and saved the day! It was totally yum!!!!

Ok well, that's all I can really think of for now so good night!

Fresh Start

Tomorrow is going to be a fresh start. I start my spring classes and am going to make this semester better than the last. I would really like to make all A's in all my classes but I refuse to make less than a B. I am taking Sociology, History, Math, and English. I'm pretty excited about my schedule. My first class is at 8 in the morning and my last class ends at 11:50am and I only go Monday, Wednesday, and Friday which is a major improvement from last semester. I am sort of looking forward to starting classes tomorrow because I'm tired of sitting at home doing nothing.

Today I went over to Maegan's house and babysat AJ while Maegan and Andrew went to the shooting range. I enjoyed getting to spend some quality time with the little man. He was pretty good. He didn't really cry, except for when he got hungry. I took a video of him "playing" but haven't figured out how to post it yet, so once I figure it out I'll try to get it on here.

In one of my earlier posts I said that I was going to start eating healthy and stuff and I am pleased to report that, for the most part, I have been. I even started working out. I work out while watching Grey's Anatomy and now I'm rather sore lol. Last night I did 5 sets of 30 hip raises, which works your abs and I did 6 sets of 15 oblique crunches, or at least I think that's what they're called.

Well I'm off to gather my stuff for classes tomorrow and I need to take a shower.

Sweet Sisters' Treats

So Maegan, my sister, and I have decided to start our own business! As of right now it's called Sweet Sisters' Treats but the name is subject to change. We are going to be making cake balls and maybe other things as well. I'm pretty excited about it! We had our first brainstorming "meeting" Friday night and tried out a few ideas.  Some of them worked out pretty well, others didn't lol. I think for now we're just going to try to bring different desserts to various functions and get ourselves out there.

Where have all the smart people gone?

Am I the only one that has noticed that people are really stupid? Making stupid choices when they know that they are stupid choices. I'm not saying that I don't screw up. I do, daily. But I don't typically make the same mistakes over and over and over again.

I was talking to one of my good friends about another person we know. That person is "engaged" to a total idiot that cheats on her and can't seem to actually commit to her, despite the fact that she is pregnant with his baby. Or at least she THINKS it's his baby. Seriously?!

On a lighter note, me, Mom, and Maegan have decided to possibly make a business together. We aren't actually sure that it will work. We want to make cake balls. We're going to do a test run tomorrow :D. Who knows how it will work out lol.

I've decided that I need to start eating healthier so I just need to get to the grocery store and buy some healthy stuff. And clean out the fridge so I have room to put the new stuff.

Let It Snow!

It's the first snow of the year(and probably the last lol)! I woke up to go to work this morning and it was raining and COLD. I don't particularly care for the cold but apparently God doesn't care :P. By the time I finished nursery duty, at about noon, it was snowing!

 We got about 2 or 3 inches of snow I would say. I went out for a walk with Dad on the "nature" trail by our house. I say "nature" because, well, they cut down a bunch of trees to make this nature trail and it's near a disgusting man made lake surrounded by houses, but I suppose out here it's as good as it's going to get. Anywho, I took Mom's camera with me and froze my butt off while taking pictures(there are more pictures of the snow on my facebook).

Yesterday was a pretty laid back day. I just went out to Ryan's and watched him fix his car. We're hoping that he will get the money to buy a new(to him) car from his friend's cousin. After he fixed his car and we ate, because, as usual, I was hungry, we went back to his house and watched Despicable Me and Megamind. They were both really cute movies and I enjoyed spending some alone time with Ryan :).


Ohhhh Friday mom and I went out shopping and I bought two pairs of new shoes(Courtesy of Aunt Kathy)! Aunt Kathy have the same problem. Or at least everyone keeps saying it's a problem but honestly, I don't know what they're talking about. I only have 35... well now 37 pairs of shoes. How is that a problem? Whatever they're just jealous :D. And I know you were all wondering this so I'll go ahead and tell you, yes there are pictures of the new shoes on my facebook, of course.

It's Just A Picture!

So Meagan and I have been trying to get a different background picture on this thing for a while but can't seem to figure out what the deal is. I've tried making them bigger, smaller, different file types, EVERYTHING i could think of but nothing works. So I did what I would have done in any other hopeless situation, I gave up. Perhaps some other time I will have a sudden urge to try again(although we all know that I will just end up saying GRR and wanting to throw my laptop across the room, but whatever).

Ryan had jury duty yesterday morning and it was about 15 minutes away from where I live(Ryan lives almost an hour away from me) so he dropped by before I had to go to work. It was nice being able to wake up to him, although he woke me up by texting me and making me get out of bed to let him in, but none-the-less I was happy to see him. I went to work taking care of 2 adorable children then went out to Ryan's house and hung out for the majority of the day. I must say, I LOVE working with kids. Yes they can be brats and they scream and are rude sometimes, but for the most part they're actually quite entertaining. They make me laugh, and I try to make them laugh in return. It's fascinating to watch their little minds grow before your very eyes. I am rather sad that the family I usually babysit for will not be needing me as much because their youngest, who is one year old, is going to be attending Mother's Day Out. I've been dreading this moment ever since I started working for them. It sounds silly but these kids are like my siblings or my nephews and niece and I will miss getting to see them so many times a week. Luckily I will get to see them two, maybe three times a week but still, they're growing up, which is sad :(.
 

On a much happier note, I made supper tonight. I made a VERY yummy Creamy Basil Chicken with pasta, mixed veggies and rolls. Don't be too impressed the Creamy Basil Chicken was one of those boxes that Macaroni Grill sells at Kroger so it had all the ingredients and directions there for me. BUT I didn't screw it up so that is a plus (not that  a screw food up very often but ya know, there's always the chance when I'm doing something, it's genetic so I blame my mom :P ).

 

 Well, I think that's all I've got for now. I'll post more when I think of something else to ramble about.

Happy New Year!

I decided, after talking to Meagan, that I should start a blog. So I guess this my new years resolution. Since my life isn't too terribly exciting, don't expect much from this blog. It's just a place where an incredibly bored 19 year old can come rant about life and how uneventful it is lol.

 This new years was pretty busy. I spend a lot of time with my family and friends which, as usual is always interesting lol. It is never boring when when they are around. It was fun getting to spend time with Meagan and Chris and I was sad to see them go back home. BUT on the plus side Meagan will be moving back to Texas when Chris deploys to... well where ever it is that Uncle Sam needs him to go.

Other than new years, I have been spending a lot of time with my adorable nephew, AJ. He is almost 3 weeks old! Today he peed on my sister three times, which can I just say, WAY TO GO AJ!(Sorry Maegan if you ever read this lol). I guess you could say I'm enjoying being an aunt. It's fun to watch my sister be a mom and I look forward to watching her learn all about the exciting things that a tiny baby will teach her.
